Slash tech debt with automated code fixes
Say Hello to Zumbro from Caparra
Focus on features, not formatting. Zumbro handles the rest.
Continuous code improvement: one PR at a time.
Zumbro is the DevOps automation tool that helps your team define, apply, and enforce engineering standards—without adding overhead. If you’re ready to improve teamwork, reduce technical debt, and ship better code faster, Zumbro will help you make it happen, right inside your GitHub workflow.
Zumbro: No Bottlenecks, Less Toil, Better Code
Teams without defined standards often have a senior team member decide when code is “good enough.” That creates a bottleneck, and a lot of extra work for the reviewer.
Remove the bottlenecks with Zumbro.
Software teams face pressure to ship new features faster. Left unaddressed are the repetitive tasks that you haven't gotten around to automating.
Reduce toil with Zumbro automations.
Clean, consistent code isn't just pretty to look at. Enforcing standards makes your code easier to review, more reliable, with fewer bugs.
Better code starts with Z for Zumbro.
How Zumbro Works for You
Define Your Team’s Standards
Great code starts with clearly-defined engineering standards. Zumbro helps you capture and codify those standards right where your code lives.
Modernize Legacy Code
Zumbro inspects your GitHub repos, and finds where your code falls short. Then it opens pull requests with fixes for clean, compliant code.
Enforce Standards on Every Commit
Zumbro handles new code too. It sets up automated pre-commit hooks that apply your standards to every new change.

FAQs
-
When you install Zumbro in a GitHub repository, it generates a pull request with a Zumbro configuration file. For each repo, select the tools you wish to enable, and Zumbro will create a pre-commit configuration file applying your chosen tools.
With your coding standards set in the Zumbro config, Zumbro will run pre-commit on each legacy code file in your repo. In addition, your team members can apply pre-commit to their commits, ensuring that all new code meets your standards.
-
Zumbro is an app that works inside a GitHub repository (a cloud-based folder for code). Zumbro helps you activate a series of tools that improve the quality of your code (similar to a spelling and grammar checker, but for code). Then Zumbro automatically runs these tools on both new and existing code files. This sort of work is often referred to as “technical debt.”
With Zumbro raising the standard of your code, your software team will be able to ship better code faster.
You can think of Zumbro as a robot vacuum cleaning up your legacy code.
