Where does the name Caparra come from?
Nearly 2,000 years ago, the ancient Romans built a majestic four-sided arch at Caparra, a small trading post in Spain. Despite the remote location, the Romans built on a sturdy foundation and used the best stone available. When our co-founder Peter walked across Spain in 2023 he came across the Arch of Caparra, still standing tall and proud.

Chad Rhyner is the CEO of Caparra. A Wisconsin native and Marine Corps combat veteran, Chad has worked in DevOps and software development at companies like Medium, Box, and StreetShares.
Peter Somerville is the COO of Caparra. A Minnesota native and Marine Corps combat veteran, Peter has worked in startup product design, marketing, and sales at companies like StreetShares and the xx network.
